: Who reemmbers the last dairy farm in Brooklyn that was at the corner of Vermont and Stanley. It was owned by the Wenk family? Also, does anyone remember a horse corral that was within walking distance of the Projects? I have a vague (very!) memory of riding ponies in the area in 1958 - 1959. Lastly - remember the milk machines and a quart only cost 25 cents!!

I remember David and Steve Wilkinson smelling like horses. David was in my class and needed special tutoring because he could not read and Mrs Ingber would hold her nose. Their older brother Phil was into horses also. There is still a stable along Linden Blvd as you enter the Belt. Of course you know that there is a riding academy right alongside of the Belt before Rockaway Parkway exit. I t looks pretty nice, but I am not into horses. Does anyone remember Reds toy store? and Brother's? Coney Island Joe's is still there but it does not even compare to the good old days. Sherry
