I want to remind everyone that CHATS will take place on TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS,
10 PM-Midnight EST, so if you want to chat, pass through then.
We've also been building a list for the GROUP EMAIL/WEB CONFERENCE feature.
Almost 100 people have signed on already, and we'll soon have the critical mass to
make this a fascinating forum. Obviously, we don't want to simply repeat the
messages we already see in the public message board (this one.) Instead, the group email
will give people the chance to discuss issues privately, in more in-depth ways.
To kick off, the FIRST TOPIC will be an exploration of the COLLECTIVE MEMORY
--all the wonderful details unique to this idiosyncratic place, long gone in spirit,
where we grew up, from skellee to the Circle to the concept of hundreds of people
just 'hanging out' together. We'll be writing --reconstructing?-- the history here.
