I remember the HES building in Brownsville very well. My parents schlepped me there to register for the summer camp which I attended in 1963 and 1964. I remember being on the "teen side" at Lake Stahahe(?). Somewhere I have a photo taken of my bunk that I have to dig up to see if I can recall any names.

If you're out there and remember me, please get in touch.
: : Does anyone remember the Hebrew Education Society's old building in Brownsville, new building in
: : Canarsie and the sleep-away camp?? I had fantastic times at the buildings in the city and even better
: : ones at camp. Are there any other's here who went away to HES for 3 weeks in the summer to see what
: : trees, rocks and a lake to swim in (and Kosher food) were like?? I'd love to find some of the old gang.

: Went to HES as a camper in '64 and as a C.I.T. in 1968. Also there that summer: Larry Heller. I lived in Canarsie from '74 to '93 so of course I remember the "new" building! My son, who's now almost 21 went to nursery school and day camp at the "new" building. Grew up in Pink Houses, where are you from? Class of '69 Franklin K. Lane.
