I was a substitute teacher in the school district
that I now live in about 6 years ago. I'm taking
attendance in an Italian class-I'm a Spanish
teacher- and I read off a name, MASUCCI.
I ask the kid if he has a father/uncle by
the name of Jerry and/or a Grandpa Lou.
He goes stone-cold white and refuses to talk
to me the whole period. When the bell rings he
lights out faster than you can say, "Nino's
Pizzeria" (New Lots Ave., not far from the
Biltmore).
