I went to many shows at the Filmore. The best show that I remember was Jimi Hendrix. Sly and the Family Stone opened for him! This must have been in 1968. The Filmore was a great venue for a rock concert. Very mellow - even the bouncers were mellow!
: Cary Padell here. Does anyone remember going to the Fillmore East, the Academy of Music, Woodstock(1969), Etc.? Do you remember seeing the Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna, Derek and the Dominoes, Jimi Hendrix, Etc.? Where are all the 60's rock n rollers?
