Hi All,
I am an Australian Student studying Gang Culture for a Pyschology Major and wished to ask you for a small amount of terms and phrases used by a typically 'NY Gang'. At present I only have limited resources like film & media that is somewhat "Hollywoodised" and need to pick up some of the street 'talk' as it would have been living amongst the gang. I respect the fact that some of you may not wish for your phrases and words to be used by others but I am seeking to achieve a higher level of understanding for my research papaers in order to pass. My goal is to then use the American model and use what I may learn to help Australian street kids and the issues and problems they may face.
All I am looking for are common day to day phrases that would cover people, places, actions and events and how these were developed.
Any help for a struggling student would be appreciated!!
