Does anyone remember Sandy Schmidt. The guy with the biggest Afro in ENY. I mean the afro was whaling man. He must have used a garden rake to pick. It was bigger then Jimmy Hendrix's and just as curly. Well Sandy had a rep. He was another bright good looking guy who went the wrong way and never recovered. Got into drugs, the worst kind of drug, hung out on the junky corner of Stanley and Asford in front of Pete and Marty's candy store. He had a sister, Susan, who was a real pretty girl, used to think about her sometimes. Sandy had a reputation as a fighter, and when he was beating the shit out of someone or wrecked, he was actually a pretty charming guy. I heard he died of hepatitis some time in the 80's. May he rest in peace!
