I believe the cost amounts to creating an archive of past messages, since the Yahoo community is free --at least for now. My estimate for organization of the archives, names, and email addresses is at least $5,000 for the least required --and up from there, depending upon how elaborate people would want to make it in terms of searchability, etc., but this is just a guestimate. We would need to get an estimate.
I think $10K could give us everything we might want in terms of the ability to archive future posts and make this infrastructure extremely solid, but $5K -I think- should do the trick for archiving the past in simple, basic, searchable format.
However, that said --I would get an estimate from a few programmers to pin down the # for sure.
