And how incredible that he was the sole musical accompaniment for Miss Olanoff's annual shows, and yet it seemed as if a entire band was behind us. I had a particularly enjoyable time rehearsing with Mr. Newton for my performance as one of the barbershop quartet in the 1968 production of The Music Man". I've been a fan of barbershop music ever since.
