How bout a separate grid, organized by address, with columns for name, apartment and years lived at address. This way you could see at a glance if someone from your special building has signed in.
Sooooo, if I lived at 797 Schenk, apt 6e, from 1956-1965, then thats what would go next to my name in the columns under that address.
