On Personal Rebellion: Finding the Bus

Babbs: Personal rebellion? My personal rebellion is, well . . . I refuse to do certain things.

Kesey: It's what you don't do that counts. Take Murphy Brown. I keep seeing these ads on television -- Murphy Brown is Candice Bergen, who's coming in there and nobody's able to find her, because she's off running away from people who are doing her ads. I have no idea what they're talking about having never seen the thing, any more than I have seen Roseanne. It's not something I meant to do like some political statement or act. It's just that I find myself not watching this stuff. And it seems there are more and more people making similar choices.
