Edward Bryant, though born in White Plains, New York, grew up on a cattle ranch in south-eastern Wyoming. He began writing professionally in 1968 and has published more than a dozen books, starting with Among the Dead in l973. Some of his titles include Cinnabar, Phoenix Without Ashes (with Harlan Ellison), Wyoming Sun, Particle Theory, and Fetish. Flirting With Death, a collection of his suspense and horror stories, is forthcoming. Bryant's stories have appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies and he's won two Nebula Awards. He has worked as a guest lecturer, speaker, writer-in-residence, and frequently conducts classes and writers' workshops. He has been a radio talk host, an actor in two of S.P. Somtow's movies, and currently is the horror host for OMNI Visions, Omni Internet's interview show. He's working on a feature film script, a start-up comic book, and trying to finish a novel.
