Graham Joyce is three-times winner of the August Derleth award for Best Novel, presented by the British Fantasy Society (for Dark Sister [1993], Requiem [1996] and The Tooth Fairy [1997]). His first novel, Dreamside, was written on the Greek island of Lesbos, where he lived for a while in a scorpion-infested beach-shack, a location revisited in his novel House Of Lost Dreams. After selling his first novel he travelled extensively in the Middle East, living for a while in Jerusalem, the setting for Requiem. The Tooth Fairy has recently been published in the U.S. by Tor Books.
