Kathe Koja lives in Detroit, Michigan, with her husband and son. Her first novel, The Cipher, was co-winner of the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in First Novel, and she has since published several other novels, including Bad Brains, Skin, Strange Angels, and Kink. Her short fiction has been published in numerous anthologies and been reprinted in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror.
