East New York is not all that bad anymore. The Van Dyke projects are in Brownsville and that is a pretty bad area. East N.Y. has improved in the last few years and it looks like it is getting better and better, especially around the Starett City Area (now called Spring Creek). The projects
in East N.Y. (Spring Creek) both Boulevard and Linden have improved somewhat but it not the way it was 30 - 40 years ago.
