As to the rape story, I am pretty sure it happened, as I distinctly remember a younger sister of one of my classmates getting raped either on a roof or in the staircase leading to the roof, circa 1967-69.
Good ole Jimmy, the maintenance man!! He took care of everything. When I moved out of the projects my mom left an apartment full of furniture and assorted nic nacs that I am sure good ole Jimmy ended up with.
