Rebecca Brand is the pseudonym of Suzy McKee Charnas, who began writing full-time and sold her first novel in 1973. She is the author of Walk to the End of the World, Motherlines, the award-winning The Vampire Tapestry, The Furies, several young adult fantasy novels, as well as The Ruby Tear. She has also written two plays based on her prose work. In 1996, through a serendipitous Internet connection, she revised the lyrics and wrote new songs for the musical Nosferatu by Bernard J. Taylor, and has been invited to work with him on a new project. She lives with her husband in New Mexico.
