Ichiro Kawachi, M.D., Ph.D., is associate professor of health and social behavior at the Harvard School of Public Health. His research focuses on factors such as stress, passive or second-hand smoke, income distribution, and other psychosocial variables as they contribute to heart disease and other ailments.
