Dan Koeppel
Founder of Charged (www.charged.com)

We had a chat with him on Monday, July 7, 1997. You can read a transcript here.

Dan Koeppel started the Internet site Charged: Action Sports/Extreme Leisure in 1995, moving to New York after living in Los Angeles for six years. Charged.com is geared toward participants in sports such as running down Chicago's subway tunnels, sky-diving at the North Pole, and, for the less adventurous, skateboarding and dirt-biking. He has been senior editor for Mountain Bike magazine and for Adweek and has written for Star Trek: the Next Generation and other TV programs. At Marvel Comics, his first job out of college, he created Blip, the first video games magazine for kids.
