Ken Nealson, Ph.D.,'s interest in microbial ecology and biogeochemistry has led to research that spans both the earth and Mars. At the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, he studies bacterial growth in aquatic environments. And as a recipient of a grant from NASA and the National Science Foundation he will look for the chemical fingerprints of ancient life in Martian meteorites.
