Steven Pinker is professor of psychology and director of the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is the author of the bestselling book The Language Instinct, which won both the Language, Linguistics, and Public Service Award and the William James Book Award. His other books include Visual Cognition, Connections and Symbols, Learnability and Cognition, Lexical and Conceptual Semantics, and Language Learnability. He lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
