Waking Beauty
Paul Witcover was born in Zurich, Switzerland, in what is now a mental hospital. He grew up in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. and currently lives in New York City, where he received a master's degree in writing and literature from the City College. His short stories have appeared in Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine, Twilight Zone, and other publications. With author Elizabeth Hand (Glimmering), he created and wrote the DC post-feminist comic, Anima, which predicted the deaths of Kurt Cobain, Jerry Garcia, and other rock and rollers (most of whom are still alive). Waking Beauty is his first novel. He is completing his second.
