Hi Dennis, hello all. This is a slow go let's get rolling!

John, correct me at any point when I'm wrong, but I understand that your experiences date back to when you were 4-5 years old. Could you tell us when your first conscious experience occurred, the event that alerted you to the fact that things might not be as the seem?

My first 'conscious' experience involved a close up sighting of a large silver (circle) hovering over my head when I was about 4 or 5 years old. What "alerted' me that something was going on, was reading Budd Hopkin's "Missing Time" about five years ago. It changed my whole life.

Had experiences happened since then, or were you thinking back, what, 40 years or more, when you first read Budd's book?

No, Budd's book was only five years ago. The fact that other people recalled the exact same "nightmares" and other unexplained events blew my mind. As for the "experiences" they have occured fairly consistently throughout my life at a frequency of once or twice every couple of years or so.

People would probably like to know, prior to reading "Missing Time," what your familiarity with the UFO literature was. What did you think about UFOs in general before reading Hopkins, in other words? And why did you pick up the Hopkins book in the first place?

Although I had several sightings of UFO's throughout my life, it was just something that I never spoke about to anyone, or thought about it much. I had no knowledge of "ufology" prior to reading "Missing time." I never attended conferences or lectures or read any of the literature. Picking up "Missing time" was a 'fluke' it was on the shelf and the little alien head on the spine of the book intrigued me. It was a real shockeroo to my system when I discovered the content of the thing.

John. How much of a family thing was this? Were your parents involved? Have you ever approached them about your childhood experiences? What about your own family?

After I started exploring all of this I learned that it was a "multi-generational" phenom. A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to ask my folks if they remembered any odd anythings as I was growing up. They both (seperately) responded with a laundry list of "abduction related" memories of "odd lights, paralysis", etc. etc. As for my own family, the kids were trying to tell me all along, but what parent assumes that their children (or themselves) are being taken by beings from who knows where. All of the oddball things that the kids tried to tell me about were dismissed as "boogeyman" stories or fears and just imaginative childhood fears and phobias. I never suspected that something like this was possible much less real.

I think we may assume John has had a Netscape crash of his own. Another question if he comes back. John, you're an artist yourself, so I'm sure you remember the scene in Spielberg's CE3 when Richard Dryefuss becomes obsessed with mashed potatoes. Has anything remotely like that ever occurred to you?

John: We may be running out of time, so a last question or two...

I understand you want to work with others who have had the same experience. Can you tell us anthing about your immediate plans? Care to give us your new URL?

Hi Dennis. I'm back answer to follow.

As for the Spielberg ques. My wife fears sleeping with me after I've eaten Broccoli! Seriously, one of the things that facilitates "making a connection to abduction" is that some fragments of the events are consciously recalled and replay themselves over and over in your head. They draw attention to themselves and seperate themselves as something out of the ordinary. I know of several abductees that suffer from repetitive nightmares and 'obsess over the experiences.

As for my immediate plans, yes I hope to continue my work with experiencers. I am also trying to develop my graphics business in order to finance my other volunteer work. I will have the website completed in a week or so and will announce URL then.
