Shirley R. Steinberg teaches at Adelphi University and is the general editor of Taboo: The Journal of Culture and Education. Joe L. Kincheloe teaches cultural studies and pedagogy at Pennsylvania State University. He is the author of many books and articles, including the forthcoming The Sign of the Burger: Doubletakes on McDonald's.
